Nevada Elected Officials Rake in Gifts

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Tickets to sporting events, star-studded award shows, hotel accommodations, travel and clothes were among gifts reported by some of Nevada's highest elected officials on recent financial disclosure statements.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto received tickets to the Latin Grammy Awards, a NASCAR race in Las Vegas, and a boxing match.

She reported $13,561 in total gifts last year.

Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki accepted $15,582 in gifts, including Boston Red Sox tickets and more than $10,000 to attend state-related business meetings in China.

Secretary of State Ross Miller received $15,622, including $9,600 for a CEO Leadership Group membership fee.

Gov. Brian Sandoval reported one gift, $500 in clothing from sponsors of the National Finals Rodeo. His office says he plans to donate it to charity.
