LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada's average gas price is $3.60 per gallon
after a month of double-digit price drops in all but one of the state's metro areas.
AAA said Tuesday that their latest number is up from the same time last year, when Nevadans were paying an average of $2.88 per gallon at the pump. But it's an 11-cent decrease from a month ago.
The Las Vegas area has the state's cheapest gas with an average price of $3.54 per gallon. Reno gas averages $3.68 per gallon, and
Elko has the most expensive gas with an average price of $3.82 per gallon.
Nevada numbers still exceed the national average price of $3.40 per gallon.
Nevada has the 9th highest average price in the lower 48 states.
California has the highest, at $3.81.
