LAS VEGAS, NV - A man spent five hours on a roof in a Las Vegas community before finally surrendering to police.
The standoff started about 6:30 a.m. when police responded to the Desert Shores community to calls of a man acting strangely and carrying a knife.
Residents were evacuated after the SWAT team arrived on scene, but not before the man took his clothes off and decided to throw rocks at both police and property.
A fire truck was brought in to access the roof and then the man finally surrendered unharmed.
It is unknown if the man was charged with a crime.
