LAS VEGAS (AP) - An NV Energy employee working on power lines has died after falling an estimated 100 feet at a Las Vegas-area industrial park near U.S. 93.
Las Vegas police spokesman Jose Hernandez says a caller from the Apex Industrial Park reported a man had fallen from a tower shortly after noon on Tuesday.
Hernandez says the caller requested an air ambulance, but first responders later determined the man had died.
A spokeswoman for the utility issued a statement saying the company is mourning the loss of one of its NV Energy family members.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
