LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a man in Las Vegas who was struck by at least one vehicle on U.S. Highway 95 near Lake Mead Boulevard.
Authorities say the victim was running across the highway when he was hit just before noon Sunday.
A witness, Richard Kahn, told KLAS-TV he thought the man may have been suicidal. He says he ran directly toward traffic that was traveling about 60 mph.
Kahn says he swerved to miss the man but a truck then hit him.
The victim's name has not been released.
