LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police have taken down an online video they made in which an officer calls a murder suspect an "animal."

They did so after attorney Alzora Jackson complained to a judge. Jackson represents 65-year-old Nathan Burkett, who is accused in two cold-case slayings.

Jackson filed a motion in an arraignment hearing Thursday seeking to require police to take down two videos. Justice of the Peace Eric Goodman didn't rule on the motion but police removed one video from public access online within hours.

Burkett is charged with sexually assaulting and killing two women in 1978 and 1994. The video taken down explains police linked Burkett to the crimes as part of a review of hundreds of cold-case homicides.

Burkett pleaded guilty in 2004 to strangulating a woman in 2002.
