LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Clark County Board of Commissioners has approved funding to expand parking at the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign on the Las Vegas Strip.
The board approved a plan Tuesday to spend $1 million to build more parking spaces, a pedestrian walkway bridge and barriers to keep visitors to the sign safe.
KVVU-TV reports the money will come from a federal grant program for improving national landmarks for pedestrians.
The board has asked for design plans to be made for the pedestrian bridge.
