NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A judge in North Las Vegas set bail at $620,000 and scheduled a court date next week for a woman accused of tying her 4-year-old daughter to a bed and locking her in a room for up to 12 hours a day.
Laketha Moore said nothing as she stood in shackles and an orange jail jump suit Friday in North Las Vegas Justice Court.
Judge Pro-Tem Eugene Martin told Moore she's facing two child abuse and 31 child neglect charges.
Deputy Public Defender Xiomara Ferrera said outside court that she hadn't seen the evidence yet.
But she says Moore plans to fight the charges.
The 36-year-old Moore was arrested Tuesday after police alleged the girl was locked in an apartment bedroom whenever Moore was at work and church
