LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled more passengers in June than a year earlier.
Data released Friday shows nearly 3.7 million people flew in and out of the airport last month. That's 1.8 percent more people than flew in June 2012.
Total airport traffic is up less than one percent in the first half of 2013, compared with the same period last year.
Domestic traffic was up 1.2 percent in June, while the number of passengers flying internationally increased by 8.5 percent. Domestic carriers make up about 90 percent of traffic.
Of the top five airlines serving the airport, American Airlines saw the biggest passenger gain in June.
McCarran is the seventh-busiest airport in the country.
