LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled more passengers in September than a year earlier.
Data released Thursday shows nearly 3.5 million people flew in and out of the airport last month. That's 1.2 percent more people than flew in September 2012.
Total airport traffic is flat for the first nine months of 2013, compared with the same period last year.
Domestic traffic was up 1.2 percent in September, while the number of passengers flying internationally increased by 2.4 percent. Domestic carriers make up about 90 percent of traffic.
Of the top five airlines serving the airport, Delta Air Lines saw the biggest passenger gain in September.
McCarran is the seventh-busiest airport in the country.
