Man Mystified By Wife's Hoover Dam Death

BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) - The husband of a woman who fell to her
death from the Hoover Dam bypass bridge into the Colorado River
says he is "mystified" about what happened.

Sixty-year-old Tom Tyler says his wife was headed to work "and
was happy to be working" shortly before she died. The Clark County
coroner says the death of 51-year-old Colleen Tyler on Monday was a
suicide and that she fell nearly 1,000 feet.

She worked in administrative support for a Clark County agency.

Tom Tyler told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that his wife was smiling the last time he saw her and that he saw no signs of depression.

The death is the second in less than two weeks at the bypass
bridge. Four people have died there since it opened in October
2010.
