LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas have identified a 32-year-old man who was struck and killed by a freight train on railroad tracks a few blocks west of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Clark County coroner's office said Monday that Greg Eckert of Las Vegas died of multiple injuries in the 6:30 p.m. Sunday incident near Tropicana Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.

His death was ruled an accident.

A Union Pacific official says it appears Eckert was walking along the tracks when he was struck and killed.
