LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 64-year-old Texas man accused of shooting wildly inside and outside a downtown Las Vegas bus terminal had been asked to leave the building at other times.
Officer Jose Hernandez said Friday it wasn't clear how long James Abney of Forney, Texas, had been in southern Nevada or where he had been living.
But Hernandez says Abney had been ushered out of the Greyhound station on other occasions before he pulled a handgun Thursday evening and started shooting about 6:40 p.m.
Police say several shots were fired, and at least some were fired at security officers.
No one was injured.
The bus station is adjacent to the Plaza Hotel & Casino, about a block from the Fremont Street Experience outdoor casino pedestrian mall.
