HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Police in Henderson say a 25-year-old man is facing murder and resisting an officer charges after reporting he was in a fight that left another man dead.
Police say Charles E. Pierce used a lobby telephone at Henderson police headquarters to report that he fought with a man he didn't know a little before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
He said he left the man motionless near Downtown Park off Basic Road.
Pierce then left the police station, before he was found and arrested.
Police spokesman Keith Paul says officers later found a man's body near some bushes.
The Clark County coroner hasn't released the dead man's name or cause of death.
Pierce is being held at the Henderson city jail pending an appearance in Henderson Justice Court.
