NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A 31-year-old man is dead after a shooting inside a North Las Vegas casino.
Police say they responded to the Lucky Club Casino a little before 3 a.m. Monday and found a man with gunshot wounds. Authorities say he was taken to University Medical Center and later died.
Investigators say they believe the victim was shot after a dispute inside the casino. He hasn't been identified.
Casino security held 35-year-old suspected shooter Shonta Hammond until police arrived. They arrested him on suspicion of murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
The death marks the ninth homicide in North Las Vegas this year.
