LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man accused of killing three relatives and a dog before shooting himself in the head has died in the hospital from his injuries.
Clark County coroner's officials say 54-year-old James Daniel McCarty was pronounced dead early Saturday, several days after the Jan. 29 shooting.
Police say he would have faced three counts of murder had he survived.
Coroner's officials say 38-year-old Bonnie Scherrer and 41-year-old Robert Scherrer were killed, although they haven't released the name of the other woman who died.
Police were summoned to the home on La Sombra Street by a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots. Officers found the bodies inside the home.
