LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a 57-year-old Las Vegas man faces felony charges in a series of grab-and-run heists involving thousands of dollars worth of casino chips from roulette tables.
Records show that William Ferguson has been held at the Clark County jail since Aug. 19 on burglary and theft charges.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Ferguson now also faces an indictment stemming from the theft of $29,000 in chips from the MGM Grand, Rio, Treasure Island and LVH casinos.
A state court judge set bail Wednesday at $500,000.
Prosecutor Noreen DeMonte says Ferguson worked with an accomplice. While one distracted the dealer, the other grabbed chips and fled.
