LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a Las Vegas officer wounded a suspected bank robber after he pointed his gun at police.
The robbery was reported Saturday afternoon at the U.S. Bank on South Rainbow Boulevard.
The suspect fled in a car but was quickly tracked down by police, so he fled on foot.
Police say that the suspect twice forced his way into private homes. At one, the homeowner shot at the suspect, but it still isn't known if he hit him.
Police say that when officers finally cornered him, one of them fired several times after the suspect pointed his weapon at the officer.
The suspect was hospitalized with non-life threatening wounds. No one else was hurt.
No names were immediately released.
