LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled slightly more passengers in March than a year earlier.
Data released Monday show more than 3.5 million people flew in and out of the airport last month. That's 0.7 percent more than March of 2012.
The airport has served nearly 10 million people this year, about 1.5 percent fewer than the same time last year.
McCarran is the seventh-busiest airport in the country. But total traffic has been sliding since January.
Domestic traffic was again down in March compared with last year. The number of passengers flying internationally increased by nearly 9 percent. Domestic carriers make up about 90 percent of traffic.
Of the top five airlines serving the airport, three saw an increase in passengers.
