LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Nevada Supreme court has ruled that the juvenile criminal records of a man accused of killing a Las Vegas mother and her daughter can't be used at trial.
The decision issued Wednesday involves Bryan Devonte Clay Jr., who faces two counts of first-degree murder in the fatal hammer attack in April 2012.
Ignacia "Yadira" Martinez and 10-year-old Karla Martinez were sexually assaulted and killed in the incident. Husband and father Arturo Martinez was severely injured, but survived.
Authorities say Clay told detectives he was under the influence and didn't remember the attacks.
