LAS VEGAS (AP) - A jury in Las Vegas has handed down a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for a 25-year-old convicted of stabbing a man to death in a karaoke bar over a $10,000 gambling debt.

Jurors decided the sentence Monday in the case of accused Chinese gang hit man Xiao Ye Bai.

Official sentencing is set for Feb. 5.

Bai is also accused of killing one and wounding another outside a karaoke bar in San Gabriel, Calif.

Authorities say that happened several months before Wen Jun Li was killed and two other people were slashed in the July 2009 stabbing at the Forbes KTV bar and restaurant in Las Vegas.

Prosecutors say the attack was on orders from the Taiwan-based triad known as United Bamboo.
