LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Nevada judge is giving Wayne Newton until Dec. 7 to respond to a business partner's request dissolve a partnership set up to create a museum and tourist attraction to honor the Las Vegas entertainer's life and career.

Clark County District Court Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez declined a request Tuesday from attorneys for the investment company headed by project manager Steven Kennedy to immediately dissolve the relationship.

The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/MYmX2d) that attorney Charles McCrea Jr. cited "serious, ongoing, obvious irreconcilable differences."

Investors Lacy and Dorothy Harber and Kennedy bought Newton's sprawling compound for $19.5 million in June 2010, with the intent of converting and offering the gold-trimmed Newton mansion for public tours.

Their lawyers say CSD has spent more than $50 million on the project to date.
