PRIMM, Nev. (AP) - Police say a case of road rage along Interstate 15 heading toward Las Vegas escalated into a shooting near Primm.
Las Vegas police say the incident started just after midnight on Thursday when one vehicle began tailgating another.
Officials say the driver who was being followed exited from the Interstate, pulled over and got out of the vehicle along with the passenger.
Police say the driver who was tailgating also pulled over, got out and shot one of the first car's occupants in the abdomen.
Authorities say the shooting suspect drove off, but was later arrested when Nevada Highway Patrol troopers pulled him over in Las Vegas.
The shooting victim was airlifted to University Medical Center with injuries that officials say don't appear to be life-threatening.
