HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A 17-year-old Henderson girl kidnapped last week says she's grateful to be back with her family and plans to be back at her high school Tuesday.
Melissa Duran was rescued from a Las Vegas apartment early Saturday morning, about 20 hours after two men came to the door of her home and snatched her. Police say they later demanded a ransom from her parents.
Duran says she was bound, blindfolded and threatened by her captors, but tells KLAS-TV she was encouraged when she heard her name on an Amber Alert on TV.
Detectives tracked Duran's location and found her unharmed. Police have arrested 25-year-old Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez and 30-year-old Cesar Sanchez.
Family members say the two suspects worked for Duran's father and had recently been fired from his landscaping business.
