HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - The city manager of Henderson says he's halted a project to change a city logo that's been mistaken for a hamburger.
Henderson City Manager Jacob Snow tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal "it's not the right time for us to be working on a logo change" because the city is making budget cuts and such a project would appear wasteful.
It's a shift from last year, when he said he wanted changes.
The circular logo was adopted in 1993 and features a mountain range, a lake, buildings and a golf course through the middle. City spokesman Bud Cranor says the more than 14 different colors on the image make it difficult to replicate.
Snow said he'd reviewed some drafts of a new logo before he decided to stop the project.
