LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a dispute between rival tagging groups led to the slaying of one Las Vegas 17-year-old and the arrest of another on an adult murder charge.

Records show that Mauricio Antonio Mejia was arrested May 30 and arraigned Tuesday in Las Vegas Justice Court on a charge that could get him life in prison in the fatal shooting of Angel Leon Campos.

Mejia is due for a preliminary hearing June 17.

His public defender, Norm Reed, didn't immediately respond Wednesday to messages.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that a second suspected assailant is sought after the May 23 shooting in an apartment complex parking lot.

Campos died days later at University Medical Center.

Police say witnesses identified Mejia wearing a black and white bandanna at the shooting scene.
