NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Two teenagers were struck by vehicles in two separate crashes in the northwest Las Vegas valley.
North Las Vegas police say a 15-year-old girl was struck by a car about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday after running across a street to catch the bus. Officers say the Cheyenne High School student was crossing the intersection of Allen and Hammer lanes at an angle and ran in front of a car traveling southbound on Hammer.
Hospital officials told police the girl's head injuries were not serious.
A second crash happened about the same time at Lamb Boulevard and Monroe Avenue. A 17-year-old boy who was in a crosswalk was hit by a Saturn.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver remained at the scene.
