LAS VEGAS (AP) - Southern Nevada officers who seized about $4.5 million in marijuana plants from a single house say it was the biggest indoor pot grow they've ever busted.
Las Vegas police SWAT team members say they served a search warrant Wednesday evening at a house on Trickling Stream Circle.
They say they found nearly 1,500 marijuana plants inside, and nearly $30,000 in cash.
A male and a female who police say tried to flee the scene were arrested on drug charges. Police initially had trouble identifying them and called them John and Jane Doe.
This is the third marijuana grow house discovered in the area this year.
Last year, the southern Nevada marijuana enforcement team reported busting 142 indoor marijuana growing operations, and seizing more than 8,500 plants and 195 firearms.
