LAS VEGAS (AP) - Former University of Nevada, Las Vegas
professor, president and author Leonard "Pat" Goodall has died at
age 75.

The university announced Tuesday that Goodall died Monday at
home in Las Vegas after battling brain cancer.

Goodall was the university's fourth president, serving from
1979-1984. He remained a professor of management and public
administration until his retirement in 2000.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Goodall authored nine books including "An Investor's Memoir," advocating a conservative approach to investing.

Current university President Neal Smatresk says Goodall will be
remembered for his work during a critical phase of growth at UNLV.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Crane, daughter Karla Powers,
son Gregory Goodall, and grandchildren.

Plans for a memorial service are incomplete.
