LAS VEGAS (AP) - A former manager of a federal courthouse and federal building in Las Vegas faces criminal charges related to his oversight of those facilities.

Fifty-seven-year-old Steven M. Underhill is charged with lying to federal agents and tampering with a witness. He was arrested last week.

Underhill worked for the U.S. General Services Administration, which oversees federal buildings. The indictment says Underhill oversaw maintenance and cleaning contractors at the two buildings and had a personal relationship with a woman who worked for a contractor.

After the woman ended the relationship, he allegedly gave the contractor unsatisfactory performance ratings that caused the contractor to lose the contract.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Underhill allegedly made false statements to agents who investigated.

A message left with Underhill's attorney wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.
