LAS VEGAS (AP) - The FBI says a trio of bank bandits tried to ditch two getaway cars before they were arrested following a weekend armed robbery at a bank branch in North Las Vegas.
Agency spokeswoman Bridget Pappas in Las Vegas said Tuesday that 49-year-old Derrick Young, 44-year-old Thomas Arnold Lewis and 30-year-old Rodriguez Madden were arrested after a chase that started a little before 1 p.m. Saturday at a Bank of America on Centennial Parkway.
The three pleaded not guilty Monday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.
They're jailed pending another court appearance April 29.
Young and Lewis allegedly wore masks and brandished semi-automatic pistols while Madden drove a stolen getaway car.
Pappas says no one was hurt during the robbery, and money, weapons, masks, gloves and other clothing were recovered.
