LAS VEGAS (AP) - A former employee has been sentenced to 22 to 66 years state prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder and other charges in a drunken shotgun rampage at a southwest Las Vegas bar where he worked.

KSNV-TV reports that 42-year-old James Keck offered a brief apology and his lawyers told a state court judge Thursday that their client battled depression and family problems before the April 12 shooting left three people wounded inside Bomas Bar & Grill.

Police say Keck left messages for a 30-year-old female co-worker who spurned his date requests before he appeared at the bar and opened fire.

Keck allegedly blasted through doors and chased people into an adjacent office before abruptly dropping the weapon and surrendering to police.

He pleaded guilty in May before trial.
