LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man found guilty of being an enforcer for a Taiwan-based criminal gang is going to prison for life without parole for slashing one man to death over a $10,000 gambling debt and wounding two other people in bloody attack in a Las Vegas karaoke bar in 2009.
But a judge on Tuesday could add more than 100 additional years to 26-year-old Xiao Ye Bai's sentence for crimes including kidnapping, conspiracy, attempted murder and extortionate collection of a debt.
It will be up to Clark County District Court Judge Michael Villani to decide Bai's sentence.
In California, Bai also is accused of shooting one person dead and wounding another outside a karaoke bar in the city of San Gabriel several months before killing Wen Jun "James" Li in Las Vegas.
