LAS VEGAS (AP) - Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson is clearing police in three officer-involved shootings in Las Vegas during the past year.

Wolfson's findings, released Monday, say officers acted lawfully in the deaths of Marc Hull, Bernard Pate and Jason Baires.

Police shot Hull Sept. 9, 2011, after he shot and wounded an officer while police were escorting him from a Wal-Mart.

Pate died Nov. 21, 2011, after police say he ran from them at an apartment complex playground and aimed a gun at an officer.

Baires was shot and killed Feb. 1, 2012, after running from police, pulling a handgun and wounding an officer. He had been a suspect in his mother's boyfriend's death.

County officials say the DA reviews aim to inform the public as the traditional review process for officer-involved shootings, called a coroner's inquest, remains stalled by legal challenges.
