LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada's state attorney general says a Las Vegas married couple who operated a business called My State Processing is now facing multiple felony mortgage fraud and theft charges.

State Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto announced Tuesday that a Las Vegas judge set a Jan. 14 evidence hearing for 37-year-old David Young and 38-year-old Minerva "Chaidez" Young.

Masto says each could face 20 years in prison convicted.

The couple is accused of collecting fees of $2,500 to $3,000 in advance and failing to make good on promises to struggling homeowners to help refinance mortgages by negotiating loan modifications.

Masto says people who think they may be victims in the case submit a complaint to the AG's office Bureau of Consumer Protection.
