LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a 50-year-old man found dead in a large trash bin on the east side of the Las Vegas valley died of suffocation and also had head injuries.
Clark County coroner's officials say Carl Pane Simon was the man found dead Monday evening on Ringe Lane, near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards. His cause of death was asphyxiation, while he also suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
The case has been ruled a homicide.
Officials say Simon's hometown wasn't immediately known.
