LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified a 54-year-old worker who died at a limestone quarry north of Las Vegas.
Clark County coroner's officials say North Las Vegas resident Kenneth Kurakis died after a fall about noon on Monday at the Apex Quarry and Plant. The site is about eight miles north of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
An official cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
The plant is operated by Lhoist North America of Arizona Inc.
