HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a woman who was fatally shot by a 22-year-old Henderson man who said he didn't believe the gun was loaded.
Clark County coroner's officials say 23-year-old Cherish Noelle Pincombe of Las Vegas died Tuesday of a gunshot wound to the head.
Colin Lowrey was booked on suspicion of open murder, which means prosecutors can decide whether the case should be charged as murder or manslaughter.
Police say Lowrey called 911 about 8:30 a.m. saying he accidentally shot Pincombe in the head. She was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
