Coroner IDs Woman Hit By Pickup

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Clark County coroner's officials have identified a 43-year-old woman who died after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing a street in the southeast part of the Las Vegas valley.

Officials say Jessica Melanie Tingin Castillo died after the crash that happened a little before 8 p.m. Tuesday on Boulder Highway, south of Indios Avenue.

Police say the Castillo was crossing the road outside a market crosswalk when she was hit. She was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The 47-year-old man driving the pickup was not injured.
