NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 38-year-old woman who died after a rollover in North Las Vegas.
Clark County coroner's officials say Las Vegas resident Zerrin Scrutchens died a few hours after the crash that happened about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
North Las Vegas police say Scrutchens was driving a 2002 Infiniti SUV on Aliante Parkway when the vehicle left the road, went through gravel for about 100 yards, and rolled once just north of Grand Teton Drive.
She was thrown out of the SUV and taken to University Medical Center. She died about three hours later.
Police are investigating why the vehicle left the road. They say it's unclear whether speed or alcohol were involved.
Scrutchens' death marks the fifth traffic-related fatality this year in North Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
