LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified 50-year-old man struck by a car and killed in Las Vegas while apparently walking outside of a crosswalk.
The Clark County coroner's office says James Bergstraesser died in the crash about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Las Vegas police say Bergstraesser was crossing Flamingo Road west of Jones Boulevard when he was struck by a 1997 Infiniti.
He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police say the driver of the Infiniti drove away from the scene, but later returned and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. He's been identified as 41-year-old Roland Biscailuz of Las Vegas.
