HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified an 88-year-old woman as one of two people found dead after a house fire in Henderson this week.
Clark County coroner's officials say Donna Louise Griffin was found dead early Tuesday morning inside the house on Armstrong Circle. Officials haven't yet released the name of the man who also died in the house.
Authorities say a citizen driving by the house alerted them to flames about 2:30 in the morning. Crews say they were able to put the fire out in a matter of minutes.
Investigators say the fire started in the living room, but haven't released an exact cause.
Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards says the house is located in an older part of town, near Burkholder Boulevard and Center Street. Damage was estimated at $50,000.
