NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 28-year-old man killed at a North Las Vegas apartment complex over the weekend.
Clark County coroner's officials say Vernon Hill died of a gunshot wound to the head in the incident late Saturday night.
Investigators believe Hill was shot while he was in a common area in the middle of the apartment complex on Civic Center Drive. Police say the shooter may have fled on foot or in a vehicle.
Police haven't released any suspect information. The shooting marks the first homicide in North Las Vegas in 2013.
