NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified a 31-year-old man who died after a shooting inside a North Las Vegas casino.
The Clark County coroner's office says Las Vegas resident Kevin Lavert Jones Jr. died after the incident Monday morning.
Police say they responded to the Lucky Club Casino a little before 3 a.m. and found Jones, who was taken to University Medical Center and later died.
Investigators say they believe he was shot after a dispute inside the casino.
Casino security held 35-year-old suspected shooter Shonta Hammond until police arrived. They arrested him on suspicion of murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Jones' death marks the ninth homicide in North Las Vegas this year.
