Coroner IDs Bicyclist Hit & Killed By Driver

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified a 48-year-old man who died after riding his mountain bike into the path of car in Las Vegas.

Clark County coroner's officials say Joseph William Galterio was killed while trying to cross Charleston Boulevard at Pecos Street a little before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say Galterio didn't yield at a stop sign and was struck by a Mercury Grand Marquis.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. His name hasn't yet been released.

Police say the 28-year-old man driving the Mercury had minor injuries.

The death marks the 18th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police jurisdiction in 2013.
