LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Clark County coroner says an anthropologist may be brought in to determine whether a bone found amid recycled waste at a North Las Vegas trash transfer station is human or animal.
Coroner Michael Murphy said Thursday that investigators couldn't immediately tell the origin of what appears to be a leg bone turned over to medical examiners Wednesday morning at the Republic Services facility on Cheyenne Avenue.
Officer Chrissie Coon says North Las Vegas police were told the bone had been found and set aside sometime within the last two weeks.
