LAS VEGAS (AP) - Detectives say they've been able to talk to the son of Las Vegas' current and former mayors after he suffered a serious head injury while jogging, but haven't ruled whether he suffered an attack or an accident.
Police called a press conference Monday to reiterate that they haven't made a judgment on the case. Deputy Chief Al Salinas said the department doesn't want to create hysteria.
Las Vegas police said Saturday they're investigating what happened in the hours before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Eric Goodman was found injured in the men's bathroom at South Tower Park on Dec. 15.
Authorities said Goodman's injuries have made it difficult for him to tell them what happened.
Goodman is the son of Mayor Carolyn Goodman and former Mayor Oscar Goodman.
