HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Authorities arrested an assistant
baseball coach with the College of Southern Nevada on suspicion of
growing nearly 200 marijuana plants.
KLAS-TV reports that police found 186 plants in a Henderson home Thursday evening. The plants were valued at more than $600,000.
Police arrested 29-year-old Ezekiel Parraz on suspicion of the
crime.
Authorities say neighbors reported an overwhelming marijuana
smell coming from the home and police obtained a search warrant
after conducting surveillance.
The television station reports that authorities in Clark County
have found 83 marijuana growing operations this year.
