LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 37-year-old Las Vegas man who admitted
selling illegal machine guns for a convicted former Navy SEAL has
been sentenced to four years in federal prison.
Andrew Kaufman apologized Tuesday for helping Nicholas Bickle of
San Diego sell explosives and military hardware smuggled into the
U.S. from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
Bickle was sentenced July 17 to 17 1/2 years in prison after his
conviction at trial.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Senior U.S. District Judge Roger Hunt kept Kaufman's sentence in line with other convicted co-defendants who cooperated in the weapons conspiracy case.
Las Vegas resident Omar Aguirre was sentenced to five years in
prison.
Colorado resident Richard Paul received eight months of home
confinement and probation after testifying against Bickle.
