Car Hits Bus in Las Vegas; 5 Taken to Hospital

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say two high school students and three adults were taken to the hospital after a bus and a vehicle collided in Las Vegas.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson tells the Las Vegas Sun the crash happened about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Hixson says a Honda Accord traveling eastbound on Summerlin Parkway near Anasazi Drive crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit the left front side of the bus.

The bus driver, two students, and a bus aid were taken to the hospital, along with the driver of the Honda.

KLAS-TV reports westbound traffic on Summerlin Parkway was shut down for more than an hour.
